Employees Leaving -- An employee might leave their place of work for one reason or another; ranging from termination to voluntary progression. Whichever the case may be, most employers fail to recognise the need to have the access control re-configured immediately to accommodate the changes in staffing. It can be attributed to the common belief that former employees are harmless, which can be misleading. Employers should, however, realise that such ignorance can compromise security. The right step would be to electronically erase access allowances for employees that have left the firm. Once access credentials have been deleted, you eliminate the probability of former employees duplicating their keycards and using them to gain access to your premises.
Visitor Access -- Visitors are an integral part of any business because they are potential partners or clients. Depending on their relationship with the company, visitors have different access needs. For instance, some visitors might require temporary access to specific areas of a workplace over a prolonged period. For such visitors, temporary keycards are necessary. However, you have to make sure that the information on the temporary keycards is erased once a visit comes to an end.
